The County of Los Angeles’ Department of Animal Care and Control is the largest animal sheltering organization in the nation, caring for more than 45,000 animals each year in seven animal care centers located throughout Los Angeles County. The Department serves all unincorporated Los Angeles County as well as 45 incorporated cities within the County that contract with the Department for services.
The Department operates 24 hours/day, seven days/week to rescue and care for lost or abandoned animals.
